PowerTech Solutions Unveils Next Gen Toroidal Coil Inductor for EV Fast Chargers

August 15, 2025Californiabased PowerTech Solutions, a pioneer in power management technology, has launched the VT800, a nextgeneration toroidal coil inductor designed exclusively to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electric vehicle (EV) ultrafast chargers. The VT800 toroidal coil inductor features a compact, highdensity toroidal core and precision vertical winding structure, reducing energy loss by 18% compared to traditional inductors while cutting PCB space usage by 25%. EV charger manufacturers face persistent challenges with size constraints and heat management in highpower charging modules, and the VT800 addresses both pain points: its circular core minimizes magnetic interference, while the vertical orientation optimizes heat dissipation in dense charger layouts. Initial field tests with a major global EV charging network confirm the VT800 can stably handle 800V input without performance degradation, making it fully compatible with nextgeneration 350kW+ ultrafast chargers. Mass production of the VT800 toroidal coil inductor is scheduled to start in Q4 2025, with samples already available for OEM partners accelerating EV charging infrastructure deployment.
