Passive Component Manufacturer Expands Production of 33uh Inductor to Meet Surge in Demand
Global passive component manufacturer InduGlobal has announced a $20 million investment to expand production capacity of its popular 33uh inductor, citing strong demand from the consumer electronics, automotive, and renewable energy sectors. The expansion will add two new production lines at the company’s facility in Malaysia, increasing monthly output of the 33uh inductor by 50% to 15 million units. “The 33uh inductor has become a staple component in a wide range of high-growth applications, from EV BMS to solar inverters,” said Michael Lee, Chief Operating Officer at InduGlobal. “Our investment will allow us to meet the growing demand while maintaining the strict quality standards our customers expect.” The expanded production lines will feature automated winding and testing equipment, reducing lead times from 8 weeks to 4 weeks. InduGlobal has also announced plans to develop a next-generation 33uh inductor with improved efficiency and smaller form factor, set to enter mass production in late 2024.
