Industrial Automation Plant Reduces Energy Costs with Toroidal Coil Inductor Upgrade
Shenzhen — Smart Robotics Co., a Chinese industrial automation manufacturer, has reported a 12% reduction in energy consumption following the replacement of traditional inductors with high-efficiency toroidal coil inductors across its assembly lines. The new inductors, developed in collaboration with PowerCore Technologies, feature improved magnetic flux management, which reduces energy losses during motor control operations.
The upgrade has also lowered maintenance requirements due to the inductors’ superior durability under continuous operation. Company executives noted that the investment is expected to pay for itself within 18 months through reduced electricity costs alone. The move reflects a broader trend in China’s manufacturing sector toward adopting energy-efficient components to meet sustainability targets.
